Rock river AR 10 in 308

Post by RichBirdHunter on Tue Jun 07, 2011 10:22 am

I need some input, I found a RRA AR 10 in 308 for $1620 nib, is it a good gun ? Is it a fair price? I have never had a evil black rifle but the zombies are getting closer

Seems a little high...But RRA is good stuff imo. Alot of local LE use them.

How about a pic of the model you are interested in...

Is the RRA 308 based on the Armalite AR-10 or the DPMS ? The DPMS design seems to be a little more friendly when it comes to replacement or upgrade parts.

I too have been looking into the RRA LAR-8 series in the last week. The price does seem a little high, but it just depends on the model, they have 6.

Just be aware that AR-10 models do vary over AR-15's for parts interchangeability. http://www.rockriverarms.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=451

Personally RRA is my #1 choice for AR's based upon quality and price.

Seems a bit high. Then again it does depend on state I have found when it comes to firearms.

I agree with Bones. I have had 5 AR's and finally settled with my Predator Pursuit.

Why not just save a little more money and buy a FN SCAR?

The 6.8 is interesting for sure.... might be hard to find components for it until it's been around a little longer. Speaking of components... I have a ziplock bag of 6.8 spc brass I picked up at the range....so If you do get one, you are more than welcome to it.

Heck, if your going to go 6.8 spc, might as well step on up to a 6.5 Grendel for the extra long range yardage you would achieve...

Just a thought...

Ok, so maybe it costs a LITTLE more, but you will get so much more out of it. It will function 100% of the time instead of only 50%.

I bet a few people will be out to get me for that one. sofa
